MY journey to becoming a CERTIFIED BIRTH and postpartum doula

My journey to becoming a Doula began with the birth of my children - Reign, Indie and Gigi. Three very different pregnancies. Three very different births. Three very different personalities.

Reign was born by emergency caesarean at 37 weeks. After feeling like the choice on how to birth was taken from me, I was so determined to try for a vaginal birth the second time around. The euphoria I felt after achieving 2 amazing VBACs (vaginal birth after caesarean) with Indie and Gigi was unlike any feeling. Being educated, in control, with a great support system by my side, was the key to positive and empowering birth experiences for me. And something I believe every woman should have! It was after this, that I knew I wanted to support other families during this transformative time in their lives, and I began my studies with the Australian Doula College.

My passion for everything pregnancy and birth has always been in me. I am obsessed with hearing every detail from your birth story - there’s no such thing as TMI when you’re with me!

As your doula, I will be your personalised support system during your pregnancy, birth and into the postpartum period. I will be there to provide emotional, physical, and informational support to you and your partner, however you decide that will look!

My role as your Doula will vary, and will be dependent on your situation and family needs. As your Doula, I will help to build your confidence and remove any fears you may have, to allow you to have the empowering experience you deserve! I will never diminish your partner’s role; rather I will support them in supporting you (in whatever way they feel comfortable).
